Knowing when (and how) to slow down

This time of year can be especially stressful. We are now well into the school year, and the busyness of the holidays are upon us.

Be gentle with yourself, and acknowledge when you need to slow things down for you and your family.

Join Ms. Mary on a 5 minute guided meditation

Meditation allows you to take a moment for yourself, look inward, and focus on your breath.

Be aware that meditation is a practice. We don’t have to be the best or great at it the first time we do it.

Come back to this video any time you need a break, and practice it with the whole family!

Set up healthy practice expectations

We experience every day differently. Some days we're energized and feel like we can accomplish anything. And other days we're tired, and everything feels hard.

So why do we expect practice to look the same every day?

Progress is not a perfect direct line from point A to point B, but can oftentimes look more like a roller coaster, full of ups and downs! Let's be gentle with ourselves on this journey, and know that not every day will be the same, and THAT'S OKAY!
