Most days Chicago Public Schools are closed, Music House is open! Our Day Off Camps give kids ages 4–11 a fun, creative place to spend the day when school is not in session.

About Performing Arts Day Off Camp
Music House Day Off Camp is a full-day performing arts camp offered on CPS no school days, school holidays, and scheduled school closures. The goal of Performing Arts Day Off Camp is to have fun while inspiring young artists to create and enjoy their day off!
Campers will spend the day switching between instrumental music, dance, theater, and visual art classes with breaks to socialize in between. Campers will have a place to voice their creative visions and ideas in an encouraging, safe, and inspirational camp environment.

Early Drop Off starting at 8:00am
Late Pickup as late as 5:00pm

Small Groups
We will have small groups to ensure camp is a safe environment for all. Campers will receive individualized attention to be able to go home at the end of the week with new skills and tools to create on their own.
Bring Your Own, Nut Free, Lunch + Snack
Campers bring their own lunch and 2 snacks for morning and afternoon. We are 100% nut free. Please do not pack nuts in your child’s lunch and snack.
Nurturing & Dedicated Teachers
Performing Arts Day Off Camp will be taught by teaching artists with degrees in their field who value creating and teaching equally—cherishing the opportunity to simultaneously practice their craft as teachers and as well as professional performers and creators.

Yes. Camp runs from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with optional early drop-off and late pick-up.

Primarily, yes — but we may also offer Day Off Camp on other school closure days. In the past, we have run camps on snow days, Strike Days, and other last minute no school CPS days!

Pricing
Day Off Camp: $100/day for the first child, $70/day for additional siblings
No Cancellations on Camp. Camp tuition is charged in full at the time of registration.
Early Drop Off starting at 8:00am for $10 additional per child, per day.
Late Pickup as late as 5:00pm for $10 additional per child, per day.
