Spring 2025 Recital Details
Dear Parents,
The date for our upcoming spring recital, "When I Grow Up," is fast approaching! We want to take a moment to remind you of a few important details regarding the rehearsal and recital. Please review the information below to ensure you're fully prepared.
For the day of the rehearsal and recital please ensure your child has the following:
What To Bring
Appropriate dance attire and dance shoes; no street shoes are allowed on the stage. ( Rehearsal Attire)
A filled water bottle
A peanut free snack
Students should arrive the day of the recital with their costume on.
Please ensure all your child's belongings are labeled with their name for the rehearsal and recital
*Please note a designated quiet space will be available for dance students observing Ramadan.
Dress Rehearsal
Please click here to review the schedule for your child's scheduled time. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled rehearsal time.
Dance Rehearsal Date: Saturday March 15th OR Sunday March 16th (Please review the schedule for your dancers rehearsal date and time)
Location: The Chicago High School for the Arts (“ChiArts”)

*Please note rehearsals are closed, with exceptions made for children under 6 years old. Please ensure to pack a filled water bottle and snack with your child.
Spring Recital Details
Dance Recital Date: Sunday March 16, 2025
Location: The Chicago High School for the Arts (“ChiArts”)

Dancer Call Time:
All Female Recital: 12:30 PM
West Rogers Park Studio Recital: 1:00 PM
Humboldt Park Studio & Near North Montessori Recital: 4:00 PM
Please ensure that students arrive at the auditorium dressed in their costume with their hair styled and ready to perform.
Recital Time:
All Female Recital: 1:00 PM
West Rogers Park Studio Recital: 2:30 PM
Humboldt Park Studio & Near North Montessori Recital: 4:30 PM
Costume Distribution & Care
Costumes will be distributed in class. Please keep the following in mind:
Costumes will be sent home with dancers after everyone has tried on their costume.
Please keep costumes in a safe place and avoid wearing them until recital day to ensure they remain in perfect condition.
Costumes may be hung to air out and steamed if needed. Please use a garment steamer or hang in a bathroom with a hot shower running. Please do not iron or wash the costume.
Any alterations needed are the responsibility of the parents/guardians.
Music House is not liable if a costume is damaged or lost.
Performance Hair Options
Unless specified by the teacher, all dancers should have their hair secured neatly away from the face and off the neck.
For dancers with long or mid-length hair, options include...

For dancers with textured hair, options can include...
Bantu knots
Sleek high poof
Boxed braids
For dancers with hair too short for a bun, options can include...
Gel or bobby pins cross-pinned to secure hair away from the face
Small ponytail(s)
Ticket Information
Tickets for the Spring Dance Recital are available for purchase here, tickets purchased in advance are $20. Tickets purchased the day of the show will be $25.
