Sarah Yates

Sarah Yates (she/her) received a bachelors degree in music education from Illinois State University and a masters in history from Roosevelt University.

Teaching Philosophy: I want my students to enjoy learning a creative art form. I believe that students of music should be able to use music as a lifelong creative tool.

Notable Performing Experience: Her professional interests focus on songwriting and vocal performance in the Chicago area. She has written and recorded two folk/Americana albums under the stage name Sarah Coco.
