Spring Into the Musical Theater Spotlight!
Music House Musical Theater Company Presents:
Our Spring 2026 Season!
Registration is open now for this spring’s Musical Theater offerings at Music House! Our Early Musical Theater students will get to explore a familiar and fun story in Little Red Ridinghood while our three older groups will dive into three very different London landscapes! Within those shows our characters discover themselves and the love of family and friends. These three shows feature ensemble casts, allow for many storytellers and spotlight opportunities and will showcase our love of collaboration within the theater ensemble!
Early Musical Theater - Little Red Ridinghood: The Play! (Ages 4-6)
The Musical Theater class for our youngest performers! Students will learn and practice the art of theater, story-telling, and character development while preparing to perform their own shows! This class will culminate in a performance in the winter and one in the spring for parents.
Beginning Musical Theater - Willy Wonka KIDS (Ages 5-9)
Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.
Intermediate Musical Theater - Oliver JR (Ages 9+)
Consider yourself at home with Oliver! JR., the Broadway Junior version of Lionel Bart's classic musical based on Charles Dickens' novel, Oliver Twist. The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, an orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.
Advanced Musical Theater Ensemble (AMTE) - Alice By Heart (Audition-based enrollment)
From the Tony® and Grammy® award-winning creators of Spring Awakening, Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, and co-written by Jessie Nelson (Waitress), Alice by Heart is a touching musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. As they travel through the tale, Alice by Heart explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. This world premiere musical encourages us all to celebrate the transformational power of the imagination, even in the harshest of times.
Our Advanced Musical Theater Ensemble is for students with prior musical theater experience (for example: multiple productions, voice lessons, dance classes, dance captains, lead roles, etc.) Please reach out to us if you would like to discuss whether this is the right fit for you. You must audition and receive an acceptance before enrolling in the class.
