About Early Childhood Music, Dance, and Theater Classes at Music House!
At Music House, we offer early childhood classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers that nurture creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of the arts. Our programs are designed for children ages 0–6 and include music, movement, dance, and theater in a playful, developmentally-appropriate environment.

We offer a variety of introductory classes, including:
Music Together® (Ages 0–5) — Music & Movement Classes
Our Music Together® programs in Chicago invite babies, toddlers, and preschoolers to sing, dance, and explore rhythm with caregivers in a structured yet playful class that promotes musical development and family bonding.
Foundations in Performing Arts (Ages 2.5–5)
A dynamic class that blends music, movement, and theater using storytelling, props, and instruments to spark imagination and artistic curiosity. This class is for students who have completed at least one session of Music Together!
Tot & Caregiver Storytime (Ages 1.5–5)
Interactive sessions where toddlers and caregivers explore music, dance, and drama through lively stories, scarves, puppets, and playful activities. These storytime events occur ~once per month.

Early Childhood Music Lessons (Ages 3+) – foundational group classes in piano, violin, rock and other instruments.
Preschool Dance Classes – creative movement classes that build coordination and confidence.

Music Together®

Foundations in Performing Arts

Pre-Violin
(Ages 3-5)
This class is for the brand new violin student! Students will weave movement, singing, and violin-games and activities within each lesson. Students will be able to use a foam violin in the beginning stages and learn how to care for their instrument, how to make a bow hold, go from rest position to playing position, the fundamental Suzuki rhythms, and much more!

Private Lessons
(Age 3+)
Suzuki Violin, Piano, Ukulele, All other instruments age 5+, Voice age 7+.
In private lessons, students attend a once-per-week 30 minute lesson where they receive individualized attention from their teacher. Students move at their own pace and have the benefit of a lesson tailored completely to them! Parents are encouraged to attend private lessons, as they are the “At-Home Teachers” and will learn how to help their child practice at home. -

Musical Theater
(Ages 4-6)
The Musical Theater class for our youngest performers! Music House hosts both a fall and spring Early Childhood Musical Theater class at both of our studio locations (Humboldt Park and West Rogers Park).
Students will learn and practice the art of theater, story-telling, and character development while preparing to perform their own shows! This class will culminate in a performance for parents.
