In Studio Early Childhood Class Offerings
At Music House, we believe that it’s never too early to nurture a love for the performing arts. Our early childhood classes are thoughtfully designed to introduce young learners to the magical worlds of music, dance, and theater. With engaging, play-based activities led by experienced educators, students explore the arts in a warm and supportive environment. These classes provide the perfect foundation for developing essential skills like listening, self expression, coordination, and teamwork—while inspiring confidence and sparking joy.

Performing Arts Introductory Classes
For The Youngest Artists

Age 0-5
In Music Together®, babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers and their caregivers sing, dance, and explore musical instruments in a 45 minute structured class. Music Together® classes aim to foster familial bonding and love, while developing the child’s love and ability to make music.

Age 2.5-5
This class is open to students who have completed Music Together and demonstrated they are ready for the next level in their performing arts education! Students will explore concepts of music, dance, and theater through imaginary play and thematic lessons, using props, stories, and instruments.

Age 1.5-5
In this imaginative and interactive class, toddlers and their caregivers will journey to magical worlds through lively stories, colorful imagery, puppets, scarves, instruments, and more. Each session will blend music, dance, theater, and art in playful, age-appropriate ways, encouraging creative expression, social connection, and lots of giggles along the way.

Early Childhood Classes

Age 3-4
This class is for the brand new piano student! Students will weave movement, singing, and piano-games and activities within each lesson.

Age 3-4
This class is for the brand new violin student! Students will weave movement, singing, and violin-games and activities within each lesson. Students will be able to use a foam violin in the beginning stages and learn how to care for their instrument, how to make a bow hold, go from rest position to playing position, the fundamental Suzuki rhythms, and much more!

Suzuki Violin, Piano, Ukulele
All other instruments age 5+, Voice age 7+
In private lessons, students attend a once-per-week 30 minute lesson where they receive individualized attention from their teacher. Students move at their own pace and have the benefit of a lesson tailored completely to them! Parents are encouraged to attend private lessons, as they are the “At-Home Teachers” and will learn how to help their child practice at home.
Musical Theater Department: Early Childhood
Ages 4-6
The Musical Theater class for our youngest performers! Music House hosts both a fall and spring Early Childhood Musical Theater class at both of our studio locations (Humboldt Park and West Rogers Park).
Students will learn and practice the art of theater, story-telling, and character development while preparing to perform their own shows! This class will culminate in a performance for parents.
