Athena Kopulos

Athena (she/her) graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Drama with a Dance minor.

Teaching Philosophy: I strive to create a safe space for students to explore and grow not only as dancers, but as people. I am happy to teach dancers of all physical and mental abilities, there are lots of ways we can modify the movements we are doing in class to accommodate any disability. Progress over perfection!

Student Age Range: 5-10

Notable Teaching Experience: I have been in educational roles throughout the Midwest. In the Chicagoland area: Metropolis School of the Performing Arts, Northwest Special Recreation Association, Bubbles Academy. In Bloomington, Indiana: Windfall Dance Inc, Bloomington Expressive Arts Training.

Notable Performance Experience: I have performed throughout the Chicagoland area as well as regionally in Bloomington, Indiana. I am an Equity Membership Candidate through the Actor’s Equity Association.

Favorite Dance Style: Musical Theatre Jazz
