About Teacher Levi:
Growing up, Teacher Levi found comfort in playing the violin and singing, leading to life changing experiences as a performer and teacher. They have performed with professional theatre companies and spent a year as a professional singer on a cruise line. This tied with their teaching experience leads to using music as a tool for expression and exploration; fostering imagination, creativity, and individuality.
Their approach is heavily influenced by their experience as an autistic person and they strive to be the example and support they needed when they were young. Their teaching strategy, assisted by their knowledge of Music Therapy, is to learn how their students learn and tailor lessons and classes to accommodate a wide range of receptive processing. They care deeply about advocating for their students' individual needs and believe this is key to creating a trusting journey through music education.
Additionally, Teacher Levi does work with Instrumental Theatre Company, they are the lead singer of local Chicago punk/ska band Run and Punch - performing in surrounding states and in the city, and they sing at wedding receptions with BWK. When they are not performing or teaching, they are watching One Piece with their partner, snuggling with their cats Eliot and Historia, drawing, or writing.
