Rock Ensemble Auditions - August 30!

Join our Intermediate or Advanced Rock Ensembles at Humboldt Park Studio! Auditions take place on Sunday, August 30th at Humboldt Park Studio from 2:30-4:00 PM.

Who is eligible for the Rock Ensemble Program:

Intermediate Rock:

  • Ages 8+

  • Must be enrolled in either MHAS rock band or private lessons (voice, guitar, bass, drums, piano, violin, viola, cello)

  • At least one year experience on your instrument

Advanced Rock:

  • Ages 10+

  • Must be enrolled in private lessons

  • At least one year experience on your instrument

Students will be placed in either Intermediate or Advanced Rock Ensemble after their audition (students do not need to state ahead of time which ensemble they are auditioning for).

What To Prepare For The Audition: 

  • 1 Music House Selected Song:

    • Guitar/Bass/Drums: “Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana

    • Piano: "Feel Good Inc" by Gorillaz

  • 1 Song of Your Choice!

  • Session: 9/14/26 - 5/26/27

  • Date: Wednesdays

  • Time: 7-8pm

  • Location: Humboldt Park Studio (1018 N California Ave)

  • Tuition: $96/month, 25% discount when combined with another Music House program of greater tuition


Advanced Rock Ensemble Details:

  • Session: 9/12/26 - 5/24/27

  • Date: Mondays

  • Time: 7-8pm

  • Location: Humboldt Park Studio (1018 N California Ave)

  • Tuition: $96/month, 25% discount when combined with another Music House program of greater tuition
