Anaya Ray
Anaya Ray (she/her) has an extensive background in music which was influenced by her grandmother beginning at the age of 6 years old. Anaya joined the Merit School of Music to further her musicianship where she obtained the opportunity to perform at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and was an 8-year graduate of the Alice S. Pfaelzer Conservatory. Her professional interests focus on music education and inspiring creativity in young learners, and her current projects include tailoring engaging violin lessons for students of various skill levels and developing strategies to foster confidence and resilience in her students. Anaya loves teaching children of all ages. She believes teaching is about creating a supportive and inspiring environment where students can explore their potential, embrace challenges, and develop a lifelong passion for music.
In Anaya’s downtime, she likes to compose music, play the piano, and perform at various gigs. She finds joy in watching her students grow as musicians and confident, curious individuals who carry the lessons they learn into other areas of their lives.
