Jeanne Trumbo has always believed in the power of the arts to reach every child. With a degree in Special Education from Northeastern Illinois University, Jeanne brought a deep understanding of how music, dance, and visual arts can support growth, confidence, and expression for students of all abilities.

Since she and her husband Richard purchased Music House in 1985, Jeanne has played a central role in shaping its inclusive, family-centered approach. Her background in special education has guided the development of programs that meet each child where they are, helping them build skills not only in the arts, but in life.

Today, Jeanne continues to serve as a steady force behind the scenes, supporting the Music House team — including her children, who now lead the organization — and ensuring that every student feels welcome, valued, and encouraged to discover their creative voice.
