Richard Trumbo
President
Richard Trumbo has dedicated his life to bringing the joy of the arts to children across Chicago. He first joined Music House as a band director, driven by a passion for music education and a vision to create meaningful opportunities for young artists. In 1985, together with his wife, Jeanne Trumbo, he purchased Music House and began building an inclusive community where students of all ages and backgrounds could explore their creativity.
Over the years, Richard not only grew Music House, but raised his own family within its walls. Today, his children carry on the mission as directors, continuing the legacy of nurturing confidence, creativity, and lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Under Richard’s leadership, Music House has expanded its reach while staying true to its founding purpose: to make the arts accessible, inspiring, and joyful for every child.
